Plan of the Egmont Hall

In the center of the large Egmont Hall is placed the Hjortspring boat.
Around the famous boat find is built 7 large, thematic showcases.
Their pointed shape is inspired by the Hjortspring boat.

  Plan over udstillingen "Sejrens Triumf"

More than 40,000 antiquities have been found in war booty offerings
deposited in 30 Danish bogs in the centuries around the birth of Christ.
The weapons and other military equipment of conquered armies were
laid in the bogs by the victors as thanks-offerings to the gods.
The finds are evidence of wars and power struggles between the rulers
and magnates of the period in Scandinavia.
Along with other archaeological finds they tell us how the societies of
the Iron Age gradually changed under the influence of among other
things the superpower of the age - the Roman Empire.
